However we may view it, wedding is a very expensive event that every one of us can have.  Just imagine of all the things that you have to buy like dresses, venues, entertainment, etc.  Not to mention the wedding favors or wedding gifts that you have to give to the guests as token of your appreciation.

You may ask why is there a need for us to give wedding gifts to the guests.  Aren’t they the ones who are supposed to give us gifts?  Granted that the guests will give you blessings during the event.  But think about their efforts in attending your wedding.  They have taken their off from their important works, meetings and engagements just to celebrate your momentous event with you.  These wedding gifts are just a way of at least extending your gratitude for being there with you and the love of your life.

Do not fret because here are some tips on how to choose your gifts and at the same time how to save yourself some money in buying these favors.

First of all, you have to think and prepare early about the gifts that you are going to distribute on our wedding.  There are two reasons under this tip.  Without planning early, you will lack time in preparing the gifts.  Because you are out of time, you will need the makers of the gifts to make your order a rush work.  The problem is that you will be charged extra because your orders will be made the priority than the first orders.  So by procrastinating, you are hitting two problems with one stone.

Next is that you have to be creative in making your wedding gifts.  Your wedding is not the first wedding that your entourage has attended to.  Without creatively thinking of innovative gifts, you might just give them the gifts that they have received from the prior events that they have attended.  This will bore them and even lead to bad impression.  Prior the event, you can ask your entourage ahead about the gifts that they have received so that you will have an idea of the common gifts to avoid.

Wedding gifts that you personally made will leave your guests in awe.  This is because they will feel that they are special to you that you have taking extra time to create these gifts.

Finally, there are inexpensive gifts available such as pocket knives, shot glasses and the likes for men and cosmetics or tote bags for the females.  You can also personalize these gifts by adding or engraving their names on it.  In this manner, your guests will not feel that you have given them inexpensive gifts.

There are still other inexpensive gifts to be seen online.  You just have to be patient in searching.  Remember that you can buy these gifts on other places not just in malls.  Mall prices are expensive so it is advisable to look elsewhere like local merchants.

Weddings are more special because of your guests.  There is nothing wrong to give them some token for their efforts.
